Five area students completed a 4-week study abroad experience through the Illinois Central College China Institute. They studied at Xiamen Huaxia located in Xiamen, China, a major coastal city in southeastern China. The students completed 12 semester hours of coursework by studying Mandarin language and Chinese culture. They also toured Beijing and visited the Great Wall. Local students include:
